At last, after months of build-up, Saturday 13th November saw the launch of K College – the new name and brand for the merged colleges of South Kent and West Kent. With events at four of our five campuses (we couldn’t make it to Tunbridge Wells but we brought them to Tonbridge instead!) it was an exciting day for everyone involved.

The intention was to combine the usual November Open Day with a memorable event to really announce us to the region. Each campus opened from 10am until 4pm and prospective students could visit their future area of study, look around the facilities and speak to tutors. We had our new prospectuses available to give out and the new website was live for everyone to see.

As well as the Open Day we also had a stage set up at each campus with a variety of performers entertaining the crowds with a wide variety of College acts including singers, bands and dancers, plus quizzes, games and an unveiling from College Principal, Bill Fearon. The headline acts were Nicole Jane, The Reason and Lloyd Daniels who sang at each campus and were all fantastic. There were so many great comments following the event, especially on the event facebook page.

The day was a great success mixing the launch of the new College with live performances and a chance for prospective students to look around our campuses and see all the different courses we offer.
