Welcome to K College

Today is the first day of K College.
In April, South Kent College and West Kent College merged and since then have been working as one. With campuses in Ashford, Dover, Folkestone, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, 1,300 staff, 25,000 students and 1,800 contracted employers, we take our historic first steps as Kent’s newest college on Saturday 13th November 2010.

K College is a striking, bright and modern identity which represents a move away from a more traditional image of Further Education, making a fresh statement in our sector locally and nationally. The brand reflects our core business of learning and skills improvement, giving a clear message that we are primarily in the business of preparing people for work, whether they are apprentices, Further Education students, Higher Education students or work-based learners.

The launch event on Saturday 13th November will announce our arrival to Kent and beyond. It’ll be our first joint venture when we open our doors as one and invite people to see us. It’s a big celebratory event with a day of county-wide performances, but more importantly it’s our opportunity to show the courses and facilities which we have on offer at each of our sites.

Our vision at K College is: “to inspire our learners to realise their full potential and to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need for a successful working life.” We are a college, a business and a place where learners can realise their true potential and succeed towards their goals. As a five-campus college we now have a broader and better selection of courses in a wider geographical reach meaning we can truly benefit the communities neighbouring each campus and the South East region in general.

Here at K College we’re very excited about our new name and identity and as we move forward as a college we hope that we can take the best from South Kent and West Kent and create a new college and business capable of being the best in our field. Who’s with us?
